This is the 10th annual Panther 5K race . Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate in this event. Proceeds go to a donation to a local Cancer Support Group and towards a scholarship fund in memory of Lisa Meitin, the wife of Lakeside head cross country coach Jerry Meitin, who lost a five-year battle to ovarian cancer on January 24, 2012. The memorial scholarship is awarded annually to a male and female cross country athlete from Lakeside High School.
The USATF Certified 5K (3.1 mile) course is mostly flat with one hill going up Blueridge to Evans to Locks Rd.
Late registration will begin at 7:45 am in the Lakeside cafeteria.
Packet Pick-Up
Pre-registered racers can pick up their packets at Fleet Feet on Friday, Feb 9th from 4-7 pm or on-site race day from 7:30-8:15 am.
Registration is available during packet pick-up at Fleet Feet as well for $30.
Race day registration is $35 individuals and $150 for teams.
Please Register by 7:00 am if you want to participate.
Strollers and leashed pets are welcome.
Additional Information
All pre-registered entrants will receive a cotton shirt.
Award Categories : 5K Top Male and Female. Age groups (plaques to winner, medals to 2nd and 3rd place): 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Most seasoned finisher.
Kids fun run ribbons to all participants and special prize to the winner
Drawings for other gifts will be conducted at the awards ceremony at 10am.
